Star Trek™ Glow-in-the-Dark Silver Coin

The mission of this Galaxy-class vessel was one of scientific exploration and diplomacy, but the flagship of Starfleet could also hold her own against an enemy threat. Equipped with a host of sophisticated weaponry including 12 phaser arrays, 250 photon-torpedo bays and a high-capacity shield, the Enterprise's dedicated crew could be counted on to do their very best to outmanoeuvre any opponent—even the relentless Borg.

A sci-fi and pop culture icon, U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D is brought to life by a vibrant colour application on the coin. The Galaxy-class vessel is set against a vivid green nebula, which adds a dynamic sense of movement and energy to the deep space setting. A frontal view allows for the study of the underside of the ship's saucer and the star drive section, whose navigational deflector is easily identified by the red concentric circles. This feature is also incorporated twice in the engraved frame that surrounds the colour image and bears the engraved words "STAR TREK" and"CANADA" in a Star Trek font. The obverse features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen ElizabethII by Susanna Blunt.
